Late July 2021

The local creek was flooded for about a month from the Missouri River being high and backing up into it.

It FINALLY dropped to fishable levels this past weekend.  Rain muddied it up for several more days.  Rain is in our forecast again, though.  Hopefully it won't adversely affect the creek again.

In the few days I've been able to fish it, I've caught some Shortnose Gar, Longnose Gar, and Grass Carp.  In fact, one afternoon in a 3 +/- hour span, I caught 13 Grass Carp on flies!  That's a new personal record.

Since my last post, here's some of the fish I've caught:

Beautiful Koi!
