Still getting some decent bass on flies. Size 2 baitfish/sunfish patterns and tiny 1/80 oz microjigs have been catching most of the bass.

ReplyDeleteDo you mind sharing your favorite flies for panfish? I live in South Alabama, so our fishing calendar is a lot different, but the fish sure look the same. Except that we have Alabama Spotted bass instead of Smallmouths.
But those pumpkinseeds you're catching are bigger than any I've ever caught around here. Though I've done about every sort of fishing there is, I just started fly fishing and fly tying seriously, so I'm looking to get beyond popping bugs. The photos where I can see the fly, it looks like most of your panfish are caught on wet flies. So if you don't mind, could you share a couple of your favorites?
