First outing of the year for me. Tried Clousers and Microjigs for predators like Hybrid Striped Bass, White Bass, Crappies, Yellow Bass... not takers. I foul-hooked a number of fish when using the microjig, and also caught some in the mouth/lip.\
The convergent evolution between Bighead Carp and Bigmouth Buffalo is very interesting.
Also interesting is the differences between Bighead Carp and Silver Carp.

And the mouths on the large Bighead Carps are deceptively large. I'm certain I could have put my entire hand in this one's mouth!
So... Common Carp, Silver Carp, Bighead Carp, and Bigmouth Buffalo were the 4 species caught on this day. Of those, only the Buffalo is a native species.
